Slated to be the largest theme park in all Latin America, phase 1 of Amikoo will open in the Riviera Maya in 2018. The park is based on the Maya cosmogony and will have 24 attractions, in addition to restaurants and shows of many types. It will also include a Maya archaeology and anthropology museum, a hotel with more than 1,200 rooms and parking facilities for 5,000 cars and 30 buses simultaneously.

The project is fully sustainable and respects environmental protection and conservation norms. The first phase alone is planned to cover 120 hectares, 85 of which will be a nature reserve.

The second part is planned for 2019-2020, and the total 840-million-dollar budgeted investment will produce 9,000 direct and 36,000 indirect jobs. Amikoo, which will be the largest theme destination in Latin America, is expected to draw 4.5 million visitors annually.

The complex will be divided into five sections: the first is the park itself, where there will be 24 main attractions and Maam, the museum area. Both are in the first phase.

The second is made up of Amikoo Downtown (gastronomy and other attractions), Amikoo Resort and Amikoo Surf Spot (wave pool, artificial beach and concerts).  The park will also offer temporary and interactive exhibitions, simulators, its own characters, archaeology underwater activities, etc.
