With the beginning of 2020, the conversation in the world of cars globally revolves around electric cars, autonomous and connected to the infrastructure. In Mexico, however, we have a pending subject: security.

Mexico is experiencing a significant lag in terms of car safety. Recently it became mandatory that the models that enter the market include front airbags and ABS brakes; In other regions of the world, elements such as ABS, six airbags, autonomous emergency brake and stability control have been mandatory for years.

The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is a system that slows the wheels selectively to help us keep traction and maintain the trajectory preventing the car from losing control in emergency maneuvers. In the United States, it is mandatory since 2009 and in Europe, it is included in all cars since 2014.

Latin NCAP, an organization responsible for evaluating car safety in our region, always makes a recommendation: never buy cars without electronic stability control. Following their advice, and regardless of the evaluation of its structure or the number of airbags, we look for those cars that Latin NCAP recommends not to buy because they do not carry ESC.

Here the list of the 41 most insecure cars that should not be bought in Mexico.
